Good news!

TK Maxx celebrates its 10th anniversary!

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the occasion than with an outfit!
Not just any old outfit, of course – I put together a look for autumn that combines as much as 5 trends for the upcoming season. As many of you know, autumn is by far my favorite season, especially as far as fashion is concerned.
Finding the right garments at TK Maxx was very easy. I found some amazing pieces that on the one hand match my style perfectly and on the other may surprise you a little.

Which ones I am talking about?
Welcome to my new series: 1 Outfit – 5 Trends.

Army Pants
Ok, so I am not wearing ‘real’ army pants in my outfit, it’s more a designer version made of super soft leather – but with the classic army pant side pockets. I love leather pants in autumn, and when they come in such a beautiful olive color as this one I just can’t resist :) They’re my favorite piece from the last haul, you’ll probably see these pants on me a good few more times!

Just be careful with the side pockets, they can bulge considerably, so make sure you keep them flat against your legs.

Statement Shirts
They’re indispensable right now! Statement shirts spice up any outfit and add a humorous note to your look. I love them for exactly that reason, especially when they poke fun at the fashion industry. At first sight, my shirt looks like a metal band shirt, but nothing could be farther from the truth. It adds a popping red note to my outfot and creates a cool contrast with the army green and leopard pattern.

Midi!
Down to the calves is the way to go! This is not only true for skirts right now, but also for coats, which should go down below your knees, just like me amazing new leo-coat.

Leo pattern
If you know me a little, you may be aware that I’m always struggling with leopard patterns, simply because I find it quite difficult to find garments that are cool, wearable and of good quality. That said, I do find some outstanding pieces from time to time that make this notorious pattern shine.

One of them was this coat, which just looked too amazing for me to be able to ignore it. I got it for 50 Euros, which is a real bargain compared to the original price of 179 Euros. It’s classic fit and soft material in combination with the ‘desaturated’ leopard pattern make this an awesome and timeless garment!

Kittenheels
Heels that are neither high nor flat: kitten heels are back. From the front they may almost look like high heels, but they are so much more comfortable to wear, and the ideal travel companions.
Miauw!

The majority of pieces for this outfit I bought at TK Maxx, the off price retailer with branches in many large cities. The clothing chain offers selected garments up to 60% cheaper than the recommended retail price. I am a frequent customer, and particularly love the Gold Label section, where I often find affordable designer treasures. Clothes are organized by categories and sizes, and the range is enormous, which makes hunting for the right piece also a bit of a challende. But for a bargain hunter like me that’s not a problem! In fact, not once have I left TK Maxx empty handed. And knowing that in most cases any given item is stocked only once, there is no option to ponder a purchase for days on end, which adds to the excitement and makes a trip to TK Maxx a genuine shopping experience. On the other hand, TK Maxx re-stocks its shelves several times each week, so you never know whether the next perfect garment will hit the store the following day. It’s a real treasure hunt!
