I have the biggest smile on my face as I write this weekly update. I am happy. Happier than I have been in a very long time. I feel centered in myself, and I got so much done this week, got so much out of the way that preoccupied me recently. I have my book-keeping under control, my flat is clean, I am pretty diligent with my exercise routine – I am on top of life. I finally found a rhythm that works for me and that feels great.
For all the excitement of the past few weeks, I did have the feeling that I’m slowly losing control of my life. Tasks were piling up, and I just didn’t have the time to engage with everything at the same time. As a result, I was pretty grumpy most of the time, quite intense. But now that I worked the most urgent items off, I actually feel really great, balanced and happy.
And since this week was such a successful and satisfying one for me I decided to go on a spontaneous trip to a spa hotel on the Baltic Sea with the girls. We’re having the time of our lives here: spa treatments, naps, walks on the beach, all with my friends – this makes me so much happier than any Fashion Week in the world. As I lie in bed, typing my weekly update, Lisa is lying next to me, singing. And I don’t even mind. On the contrary: my heart jumps with joy.
One of my highlights was the Drake show on Thursday with the Drykorn team and my boys and girls. We had so much fun and the very best view. Besides that my outfit was super hot. Obviously the boys liked it, too :D
Another good read:
So, it’s finally happening: the ‘classic’ street style is meeting the same fate as blogging. The market became over-saturated, Instagram is taking over, and the whole thing is about to meet its demise. A somehow sad but also super interesting and highly relevant article for fashion people.
Episode 9 of our podcast Matchalatte. We recorded it on our hotel bed and are discussing our worst dating experiences. Who had the worse luck with dates? Lisa or me?
