New Yorker Fashion Institute of Technology.
Revolve Clothing online shoppen.
SOL-SANA
Online-Store.
Sun, beach, ocean. Or not, if you work in fashion. While for many the month of July marks the beginning of the most beautiful time of the year, would be students of fashion and design courses as well as other creative studies have to prepare their applications as the official enrolement dates draw closer. The wait from submission to acceptance results can be long and nerve-wrecking. The number of places on each course is limited, and whether you are accepted or not in the end often depends on tiny details.
Talent, ambition and motivation are essential. Creatig fashion is a process that is not only hard work but also requires intense passion. Many candidates have potential, but only few manage to establish themselves in the fashion world with any degree of success. For young designers the challenge of making a mark on the fashion market is particularly big, many big talents are often discovered quite late in the game. We have compiled a list of names and brands for you that you should keep a eye on for the future:

IVY KIRZHNER
I discovered this US based label recently, and it was love at first sight. Ivy Kirzhner founded her eponymous label in 2012 after having studied Footwear & Accessories at the renowned Fashion Institute of technology in New York. Kirzhner gathered experience as creative director at BCBGMaxAzria, Alice+Olivia, Dolce Vita or VC Signature for Vince Camuto, and several more.
With her label, Ivy Kirzhner offers her customers extravagant footwear in high quality finish. Signature pieces of her collections include sandals decorated with gemstones or leather fringes combined with colorful ethno-patterns and metallic elements. All models are priced at between 120 and 350 Euros and are available online, for example at
Shopbop.
EVYI
In many parts of Germany, where this text is written, the summer leaves still a lot to be desired as of yet. Instead of summer dresses, many of us are sporting pullovers and jeans. Luckily, Berlin based label Evyi has nice knitwear models in all shapes and colors on offer. Designer Ewelina Smarz founded the label in 2011, almost out of chance. She met Kerstin Görling, owner of the Hayashi store in Frankfurt, who showed an interest in one of her scarf designs. Ewelina, at that point a student of fashion management, took the opportunity and developed a brand concept. Within a short span of time, she saw her first (sales-) successes.
Evyi offers knitted scarfs, pullovers, beanies and blankets made from cozy merino wool. All pieces are handmade and cost between 50 and 450 Euros. You can get the beautiful knitwear pieces
online as well as at Apropos in Cologne, Munich and Hamburg.
TULAROSA
California, here we come! You simply have to love the label Tularosa and its effortless combination of moderne bohème and timeless design. Summer dresses, laced blouses, tunics or short jackets with ethno-patterns – if you still haven’t found your perfect summer festival outfit you’ll definitely find something here.
Prices are in the mid range, with swimwear starting at 60 Euros. A striped jumpsuit costs 140 Euros. Tularosa is currently available at
Revolve Clothing and other retailers, or online.
SOL-SANA
Still looking for the perfect pair of summer shoes? Then you should check out Sol-Sana’s online shop. The Australian brand, founded in 2010 by Sara Caverley, focuses on high quality footwear at affordable prices.
Mules, platform sandals made of leather, classy high heels or boots – you find the full range of models online at
Shopbop or at
Urban Outfitters.
NANUSHKA
Unusual name, great label! Nanushka was the childhood nickname of designer Sandra Sandor. After fashion design studies at the renowned London College of Fashion, the Hungarian born fashionista returns to her native city Budapest and founds her own label. In her pieces she combines playful cuts with high quality textiles and creates a confident and harmonious balance between urban fashion and out-there designs. One of the main sources of inspiration is urban life in the big city.
The product range comprises pretty much everything from ready-to-wear to accessories. You can get an oversize trench in candy pink from the new spring/summer 2015 collection for 540 Euros, and leather espadrilles for 249 Euros. All pieces are on sale in the label’s own
online store.
Danke für die tollen Inspirationen :)
