Final spurt! The year is almost over, and still I’m sitting in front of a huge pile of work. No time to give up now! The problem I have at the moment is that I’m actually producing more content than I have time to post, which means I have wonderful pictures piling up, but not enough time to write texts for them. That said, I am very excited that Christmas is approaching fast. I’m looking forward to a couple of quiet, festive days so much. But even if it sounds like I’m complaining about my current life in the fast line, the opposite is true: I enjoy it a lot. For example, next week I’ll be heading to…. Disneyland!!! I mean, how great is that? I’ll attend a fashion show there, and am looking forward to it big time. I’ll also participate in a talk, and have a bunch of new content in the pipeline for you guys. But once the next week is wrapped up, things will finally start to quiet down a little… and I guess that’s when the Christmas mood will really envelop me at good last!
My private highlight is the simple fact that my ex boyfriend has moved out, which means we finally have a the proper cut we needed. It was high time after four months. Both of us were pretty tense towards the end. Even though we lived together peacefully and with a lot of mutual understanding, it’s just plain difficult to keep living together for a full four months after separating. It was tough. That was one of the reasons why I was on the road so much during that period. I just did my best to be away from home as much as possible. But that’s no long term solution of course, and I was also running out of energy after three months of non-stop traveling. All I wanted was to retreat for a while, to relax in my own four walls, and that just wasn’t possible. Well, I’m happy he found a pretty flat for himself, and I’m also glad I get to reorganize my home. It really feels like I’m opening a new chapter in life. I hope it will be a great one!
Year-End Surprise: I’m generally a fan of year-end reviews, and I especially like it when they surprise me, like for example the review by Spotify! My favorite artist, according to Spotify was – no surprises – The xx! Their songs are the best to relax and work, so I sort of expected that. But I wasn’t prepared to find out that my favorite song on Spotify this year was.. I’ll Come Crashing by A Giant Dog. Really caught me by surprise. Talking about Spotify! If you follow Matchalatte on FB now, you have a chance to win 3 x 3 months of Spotify Premium – a little early Christmas gift!
Matchalatte: We just uploaded a new episode of Matchalatte, and somehow it turned out quite kitschy. Well, what can I say, both Lisa and I are in love. It gets a little cheesy as we share our adventures, our longing and discuss some of the strange moments that characterize a relationship with a blogger. I have no idea whether it’s a good episode or not, I’m just not objective this week, but I’d love to hear your honest feedback. I feel it turned out pretty well in terms of the overall quality, but please do let me know how you feel about it!
