How to get white /silver /gray hair

Anzeige

Every day people ask me questions about my hair, so this post should make all those happy, who are asking me about my hair color.
Finally I tell you how you can get white / silver /gray hair and although I’m still experimenting I found 3 methods to get this hair color.

Prerequisite

1

To get white or gray hair you need to bleach it first as long as there are no pigments left in your hair. But be careful and take time for it, because it’s a progress and you should wait at least a month until you try it again. I bleached my hair 3 times, but I still haven’t platin-blonde hair, so I just gave up, because I know my hair wouln’t survive a fourth time. Please ask a professional hairdresser to help you! Your hair will be damaged after it anyway, but you would just make it worse if you would do it by yourself.

Find the right color

I tried a few colors, but in the end there are 3 products I can recommend you and 3 lessons I learned:

  • The lighter your hair is, the better it works.
  • The color of your hair depends also on your hair structure and the more damaged it is the more color it sucks in. So don’t be surprised if the result is not so smooth.
  • This hair color is damn expensive and requires a lot of time and care.

But let’s talk about the products. For gray hair I recommend Eugene Perma Blush Satine because it makes even darker hair gray without any violet or blue touch. Actually it’s my favorite product, but there is a problem: it’s only available in France…

Another great product for white-silver hair is Wella Color Fresh 8/81, but unfortunately it only works for really light blonde hair, but it has the perfect tone! Another possibility is to mix lilac directions with conditioner and use it as a mask for 20-60 min. I use it to refresh my hair, but it’s also a good way just to try this hair color for the beginning..
