erry Christmas dear readers!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve with your families today, and that you’re enjoying the time together with your loved ones to the fullest! I wish you a great meal, loving presents, heartfelt hugs, inspiring chats and holidays devoid of family drama.   Most of all, I wish you love! Tons and tons of love. Love is the key, the substance that holds us together. Love is family, love is mutual understanding, and love is what Christmas is really all about. Love and – of course – empathy.   How often do we get stressed out, feel under pressure to find the perfect presents or to organize the perfect dinner. Instead of letting the quiet, festive mood envelope us we turn into party organizers and focus only on superficialities. While at the heart of it it’s not important what’s under the tree or what we put on the table – what counts is what happens around the tree and the table. It’s the conversations that make this festive day perfect, and the love we share with each other.   And we should be grateful for all the positive things in our lives that we can partake in, and allow for empathy in our hearts, with those who are less fortunate than us. That, too, is central to Christmas: to show openness towards others, to contribute, be it with a donation to a charity or a kind gesture to a stranger in need. It does not always have to be money, either. Duvets, food or time are always needed. Each and every one of us is able to help someone out there. Let us never forget that!   I am with my family today, we spend the holidays in France, and I send you the warmest Christmas wishes from down south. May you have a wonderful time, may you eat all you want without guilty feelings (there’s plenty of time to go on a diet next year), may you be pampered. Give generously, love deeply, take good care of each other and say hi to the Santa Claus for me!   A very happy Christmas to all!
