Today, I’ll show you three spring-looks. I bought all of them at TK Maxx.
Firstly, I bought something very Masha-like. A bit casual but simultaneously a little bit grungy, since I chose a pair of fake leather trousers, a sweater and a denim jacket. For the moment of surprise, I combined it with a floral blouse that shows its face only now and then.
The second look is much more girly. Basically, it’s a silk patterned silk dress, that whets one’s appetite for the upcoming spring season. The style of it is gorgeous and it impressed me especially with its pleated details around the upper half of the dress. It was love at first sight!
Still, it has to fit to my personal style so I don’t want it to look too girly. Therefore, I styled it with a leather jacket and sneakers.
The last outfit is also very typical for me but the colors let it seem very summery. A sleeveless linen blouse that is an absolute essential in everyone’s closet. Combined with jeans, white sneakers and as a highlight I’ve chosen a very boxy jacket with colorful stripes. That’s totally my thing! It’s unnecessary to mention that this was also love at first sight and I don’t want to miss this item anymore.
Sometimes, people criticize that I’m using a lot of High-End-brands that many people can’t afford. I totally understand this argument and because of that I like the concept of TK Maxx so much: it makes High-End affordable.
It is some sort of paradise for bargain hunters and it’s almost impossible to leave the store without buying something. And that even without guilty conscience, since one always saves so much money!
Furthermore, TK Maxx totally fits into the sustainability concept: the company buys in products from brands, which are originally from the recent and also from the last seasons and sells them way cheaper. So nothing will be chucked out and everything will be recycled.
For my part, you can mostly find me in the Gold-section, where I can find High-End-brands way cheaper and sometimes I find some real treasures there, such as the patterned silk dress or the perfect fake leather pants.
What’s typical for treasures? You need to take your time to find them. With the TK Maxx treasures, it’s basically the same. But I found a pretty good strategy for myself: Normally, TK Maxx sorts its products by product categories and after that by sizes. Since sizes are not that important to me (thank you, oversize trend!), I primarily look for cool colors, patters and in general just pieces. For instance, my obsession with blazers and stripes! So, I specifically look for those pieces.
My new striped Blazer for 80 bucks, oversize-fit of course, was a real lucky find and is perfect for spring. And by the way, I saved 60 %! But absolutely legendary is the patterned dress: Instead of 1.500 Euros, I bought it for only 200 Euros – and it fits so perfectly! That’s what one might call fate and experts know that such offers are real lucky pulls!
However, you can find the best lucky finds when you don’t become too set on a specific piece (“I’m only looking for a red dress”). Instead, one should drift through the store. By doing this, not only my closet becomes fuller but also my apartment in general, since I found some glasses and bowls, that I found very spontaneously in the interior section.
But even when you find a dream piece, but you’re too late, don’t give up hope. Every week, TK Maxx gets a new supply with new dream pieces – and maybe then you’ll find your lucky pull.
And let’s be honest: Showpieces don’t know seasons.
