Weekly Update #27

This week: Wow! I finally feel like a full member of society! I used this somewhat calm week to work off my endless list of things that I have postponed forever: bookkeeping, sorted out insurance, applied for a new ID, you know, this kind of necessary but boring stuff. Only thing missing in this unpleasant list was a visit to the dentist. Well, and then there’s my balcony project. It’s great to have my life back in order though, it all got a bit out of hand over the last year. These open tasks started to weigh on my thoughts and conscience more and more heavily, the more I procrastinated the more of a shadow these things cast on my mood. Now that I sorted it all out it almost feels like holiday. So that’s what it’s like to finally reach the light at the end of the tunnel: it’s bright, colorful and great.   Next week: Next week I’ll FINALLY have the time to sort out my balcony. I’ll try to finish with everything before the weekend, as I have awesome plans: I’ll be heading to Melt festival with my wonderful friend Valentina. Scheduled for the blog: I’ll show you another important area of my flat – my workspace! At last I’ll have a bit more time and headspace to follow through with some ideas that I’ve been toying with for the blog, which means I’ll have a bit more action for you next week – more blog posts and videos :) Stay tuned!   Shopping: With an unusual amount of free time at my disposal, I did what I had to do – I went shopping, offline and online. It helped that sales are kicking off everywhere. I found this fabulous Balenciaga necklace and these cool trousers by All Saints, and also this perfect pullover by Alexander Wang. Oh yeah, and I also bought a shoe rack which I’m going to show you at some point soon :)   Happiness: Do you know the feeling? On some days it seems everything goes wrong, on others everything seems to work out for you. This week was full of days where life was on my side. Most evenings I fell into bed exhausted but really happy. Everything seemed to work out, my timings on some occasions were perfect, and in many instances I was just blessed with good luck. I started the week on a super positive note, and that kind of seemed to have set the tone. Berlin makes me happy. My life makes me happy.   Happiness, again: Finally, the German government passes a law that addresses the #nomeansno issue! I’m not sure whose ultimately responsible for this, whether this is due to the work of feminist activists over the past couple of years, or whether the zeitgeist has finally caught up with the government, but I’m genuinely happy about this development. I hope this will bring justice to the victims of sexual abuse.   Realization of the Week: Co-working is pretty much the most awesome invention ever. Being self-employed can sometimes be quite boring with all that work you do all by yourself. I’m going to try to integrate the co-working concept into my daily life, not even necessarily every day, just every now and then. It should make work that much more fun!

You go, girl!!!
    (Wunderschöner Barcelona-Vlog!! ❤️)

    Masha, mach einfach immer weiter!!
